Inoperative Bank Deposits

Reactivate dormant accounts and claim matured deposits

Savings accounts and fixed deposits untouched for ten years are moved to the RBI’s Depositor Education and Awareness Fund. We reactivate the account and recover the balance.

Inoperative Bank Deposits

An account with no customer-initiated transaction for two years becomes dormant; after ten years the balance is transferred to the RBI’s Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund. Matured fixed deposits that were never renewed or withdrawn go the same way.

Finvora searches the RBI’s UDGAM portal and individual bank registers, completes re-KYC, and files the reactivation and refund claim with the branch and, where required, with the DEA Fund cell.
